225Savings relating to court orders, proceedings, etc
A proceeding, action, or investigation commenced under any provision of the Transport Act 1962 or Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, that is pending or in progress immediately before the repeal of that provision by this Act, may be continued, completed, or enforced (as the case may require) as if that provision had not been repealed.
A certificate given or evidence produced under any provision of the Transport Act 1962 or Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986 that is repealed by this Act, and given or produced before the commencement of this section for the purposes of any proceeding, action, or investigation to which subsection (1) applies, continues to be as admissible for the purposes of the proceeding, action, or investigation as it would be if this Act had not been passed.
A limited licence issued under section 38 of the Transport Act 1962 and in force immediately before the commencement of this section has effect as if issued under section 105 of this Act.
A court order made under any provision of the Transport Act 1962 or the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986 that is repealed by this Act, which order is in force immediately before the repeal of that provision, has effect under the corresponding provision of this Act.
In any proceeding, action, or investigation to which subsection (1) applies, service of any document that was effected before the commencement of this section and in accordance with the Transport Act 1962 or Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986 (as the case required) is sufficient service for the purposes of the continuation, completion, and enforcement of the proceeding, action, or investigation.
