187: Carbon dioxide account information required for vehicle importation

You could also call this:

“Information about a car's pollution needed when bringing it to New Zealand”

Starting from 1 December 2022, when you want to bring a Type A or Type B vehicle into New Zealand, you need to do two important things. First, you must give the Director the number of your carbon dioxide account. Second, you need to make sure that the amount of carbon dioxide the vehicle produces is written down in your carbon dioxide account. If you don’t do these two things, the vehicle won’t be allowed to enter New Zealand under this law.
