Land Transport Act 1998

Administrative provisions - Register of land transport records

200F: Purpose of register

You could also call this:

“The register keeps track of land transport information for everyone to use”

The register of land transport records serves several important purposes. It provides definitive proof of land transport records, ensuring that the information it contains is reliable and trustworthy. You can use it as a public resource to find information about land transport records. If you need to see or get copies of these records, the register allows you to do that. The register also helps people carry out their jobs or responsibilities under the Land Transport Act or other related laws. For example, if someone is caught speeding, the register can be used to start legal proceedings against them.
