Illustration for Land Transport Act 1998

You must follow the rules of the road. If you are driving a vehicle with a warning notice on it, you must do what the notice says. You have to follow the instructions of enforcement officers. They can ask you to take breath tests or other tests to check if you are safe to drive. You must not remove a notice from your vehicle unless you have done what the notice says you must do. You cannot drive a vehicle if it has a notice on it saying you must not drive it, until you have done what the notice says. You have to listen to enforcement officers and do what they say, as they are trying to keep you and others safe on the road.
