Land Transport Act 1998

Disqualification, demerit points, licence suspension, and vehicle impoundment - Effect of disqualification or suspension of transport service driver and other persons

87G: Effect of disqualification or suspension of transport service driver and other persons

You could also call this:

“What happens if you're not allowed to drive for a transport service or teach driving for a while”

If the Director decides you can’t drive a transport service vehicle or be a driving instructor or testing officer for a while, they can do a few things during that time. They can take away or suspend your driver licence if it’s not mainly for driving private cars. They can also stop you from driving any vehicle used in a transport service, even if you have a licence that lets you drive private cars and transport service vehicles. The Director can also stop you from doing any work as a driving instructor or testing officer.

The Director still has all their other powers to deal with driver licences, like taking them away or suspending them. These powers come from this Act, the regulations, and the rules.
