Illustration for Land Transport Act 1998

If you get special permission to drive a big vehicle on the road, you might have to follow some conditions. You might have to have a police officer supervising you while you drive. You might also have to pay a fee to cover the costs of the police supervision. You have to pay this fee to the Commissioner, and if you do not pay, it can be treated as a debt to the government. The government can take you to court to get the money if you do not pay the fee.
