Land Transport Act 1998

Repeals, amendments to other enactments, and transitional and savings provisions

220: Rules having effect under this Act

You could also call this:

“Old rules from before still work with the new law”

Rules that were made under Part 2 of the Land Transport Act 1993 are still important. If these rules were already in place before this new law started, they will still work under the new law. Also, if any rules were made under the old law but were meant to start later, after this new law began, they will still work too. You can think of it like this: the old rules don’t disappear just because there’s a new law. They keep working, but now they work as part of the new law instead of the old one.
