“List of old laws that were cancelled when the new Land Transport Act started”
This schedule lists different laws and parts of laws that are no longer in use. These laws were cancelled when the Land Transport Act 1998 came into effect. Some of the laws stopped being used on 1 March 1999, while others were cancelled on dates set by the government.
The laws that were cancelled include parts of the Transport Act 1962 and the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986. The entire Land Transport Act 1993 and the Land Transport Amendment Act 1995 were also cancelled on 1 March 1999.
Other laws, like the Land Transport Amendment Act 1997 and more parts of the Transport Act 1962 and the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, were set to be cancelled at later dates chosen by the government.
