"Laws that are no longer used, listed at the end of the Land Transport Act 1998"
The Land Transport Act 1998 has a list of laws that are no longer valid, which is called "Enactments repealed". You can find this list in the schedule of the act, which is like an extra section that has more information. This schedule is empowered by s 214, which is another part of the law.
Some of these old laws were stopped from being used on 1 March 1999. These include parts of the Transport Act 1962 and the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986. You can also find a list of Land Transport Acts that were stopped from being used on 1 March 1999, including the Land Transport Act 1993 and the Land Transport Amendment Act 1995.
Other laws were stopped from being used on a date chosen by the government, which is called an Order in Council. These laws include parts of the Transport Act 1962, the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and the Land Transport Amendment Act 1997.
