Land Transport Act 1998

Transport services licensing - Revocation of transport service licences

30S: When Director may revoke transport service licence

You could also call this:

“When the Director can take away a transport service licence”

The Director can take away a transport service licence if they think certain people aren’t good enough to be involved in the service. This includes the person who holds the licence, anyone who controls the service, any representative living in New Zealand, or any driver. However, this rule about representatives doesn’t apply to drivers who help connect passengers in shared-cost arrangements. If the Director decides to take away a licence, they have to follow specific rules outlined in another part of the law.
