Land Transport Act 1998

Clean vehicle standard - Information gathering and enforcement powers

197D: Privileges for person required to supply information, produce documents, or give evidence

You could also call this:

“Protection for people giving information about clean vehicles”

When you are asked to give information, documents, or answer questions for the Clean Vehicle Standard, you have special protections. These protections are the same as what witnesses have when they speak in court. This applies when you’re dealing with the Director, someone who works for the Agency, or a person who has been given special permission to ask for this information. These protections help make sure that you are treated fairly and your rights are respected when you’re asked to share information or answer questions about clean vehicles.
