Local Government (Water Services) Act 2025

Provision of water services: operational matters - Development contributions - Development agreements

139: Response to request to enter development agreement

You could also call this:

"What happens when you ask a water organisation to work with you on a project?"

Illustration for Local Government (Water Services) Act 2025

If you ask a water organisation to enter into a development agreement, they must think about your request as soon as they can. They can say yes to your request, either fully or partly, if you both agree on any changes. They can also say no to your request.

If the water organisation makes a decision, they must tell you in writing what they decided and why. You can also get a request from a water organisation to enter into a development agreement. You can then say yes or no to their request in writing, either fully or partly, if you both agree on any changes.

You can look at what the law said before in s 207B of a previous law for comparison.
