You can appeal to the High Court if you do not agree with a decision made by the District Court under section 155. You can only appeal if you think the District Court made a mistake about the law. The High Court will look at whether the law was applied correctly.

156Appeal to High Court

  1. A person may appeal to the High Court on a question of law only against a decision made by the District Court under section 155.

  2. An appeal must be made by giving notice of appeal no later than 20 working days after the date on which notice of the decision was communicated to the appellant, or within any further time that the High Court may allow.
