If you do not follow a compliance order or a court order, you commit an offence. You can get a compliance order under section 297 or the court can make an order under this Act. If you break this rule, you can get in trouble.

If you are found guilty, you can get a fine. For an individual, the fine can be up to $75,000. For a company or group, the fine can be up to $300,000.

332Failure to comply with compliance order or court order

  1. A person commits an offence if they fail to comply with a compliance order issued under section 297 or an order of the court made under this Act.

  2. A person who commits an offence against this section is liable on conviction,—

  3. for an individual, to a fine not exceeding $75,000:
    1. for a body corporate or an unincorporated body, to a fine not exceeding $300,000.
