If a territorial authority asks a water organisation for a proposal under section 263(4)(a) or section 264(3)(a), the water organisation must give its proposal to that authority. You will get the proposal if you are the territorial authority that asked for it. The water organisation must also give its proposal to other territorial authorities if they are working together with the authority that asked for the proposal.

265Water organisation must provide advice on request

  1. A water organisation that is asked for a proposal by a territorial authority under section 263(4)(a) or 264(3)(a) must provide its proposal—

  2. to the territorial authority that sought it; and
    1. if the territorial authority that sought the proposal has entered into a joint arrangement with 1 or more other territorial authorities for the water organisation to provide water services, to those other territorial authorities.
