When you look at the rules for water services, you find that Watercare Services Limited has some special rules. Watercare Services Limited cannot ask for a development contribution, which is a payment that some organisations can ask for under this Act. This rule applies to Watercare Services Limited and any company that is a subsidiary of Watercare Services Limited.
When you read about water organisations in this part of the Act, you should not include Watercare Services Limited or its subsidiaries. This means that some rules that apply to other water organisations do not apply to Watercare Services Limited.
You should remember that this rule is an exception to some of the other rules in this part of the Act, and it is important to understand how it works.
