Local Government (Water Services) Act 2025

Provision of water services: operational matters - Management of stormwater networks - Obligations of owners of private land

210: Private owner to notify water service provider of proposed activity

You could also call this:

"Tell the water service provider before you start work on your land that might affect stormwater."

If you are a private owner and you want to do something on your land, you need to tell the water service provider first. This is because what you do might affect how stormwater flows through the area. You must tell them before you start the activity, especially if it could change how stormwater gets to or from other infrastructure in the stormwater network.
