43Application of this Act to water services role of regional councils

  1. This Act applies to regional councils as follows:

  2. each reference to a territorial authority must be read as a reference to a regional council:
    1. each reference to the district of a territorial authority must be read as a reference to the region of a regional council.
      1. However, subsection (1) does not apply in the case of the following provisions:

      2. sections 9(1) and (2), 10, and 11:
        1. subpart 5 of Part 2 (but subpart 5 does apply to Wellington Regional Council):
          1. section 44:
            1. sections 50 to 62:
              1. sections 64 to 72:
