When a document is adopted, you need to publish it on a website. You must do this within one month of the document being adopted. The document must stay on the website for at least seven years.

The documents that must be published include a statement of expectations (see sections 224 to 229), a water services strategy (see sections 230 to 239), and a water services annual budget (see sections 240 to 242). Other documents that must be published are a water services annual report (see sections 243 to 247) and a water services half-yearly report (see section 248). There may also be additional plans or reports that must be published (see section 249).

Different parties are responsible for publishing each document. For example, a water organisation and its shareholders must publish a statement of expectations. A water service provider is responsible for publishing its water services strategy and annual budget. In some cases, both the water service provider and its shareholders must publish a document, such as a water services annual report.
