When a water organisation sets charges for stormwater services, you need to know they have to follow some rules. They must work out the cost of stormwater services based on where a property is located. This location is usually within a specific area that is outlined in a transfer agreement with a territorial authority or in the organisation's water services strategy.

A water organisation has to determine the recoverable cost of stormwater services for properties in certain areas. They do this by looking at whether the property is in a stormwater service zone that is specified in a transfer agreement or their water services strategy. This helps them decide how much to charge for stormwater services.

You should also know that a water organisation cannot charge a corridor manager for stormwater services. This means corridor managers are exempt from paying these charges. Water organisations must follow these rules when setting charges for stormwater services.
