If you want to operate a service, the licensing authority may ask you to prove you have insurance. This insurance is for things that might happen because of your service, like someone getting hurt or property getting damaged. You might need to show proof of insurance when you apply for a licence, when you renew your licence, or at any other time while your licence is in force.

The licensing authority can ask you for proof of insurance at different times, such as before they give you a licence or before they renew your licence. They can also ask you for proof of insurance at any other time while your licence is valid.

If the licensing authority asks you for proof of insurance, you must provide it within a reasonable time frame that they specify, and it must be satisfactory to them, you can find more information about this by looking at the relevant legislation.
