Illustration for Civil Aviation Act 2023

If an inspector thinks you are breaking a civil aviation rule, they can take action. The inspector can issue a notice telling you to fix the problem or stop something from happening that might break a rule. You can appeal to the District Court under section 453 if you disagree with the inspector's decision. The inspector's notice might tell you to fix what you are doing wrong, or to stop something that could cause a problem. You have the right to appeal the inspector's decision if you think it is unfair.
