An infringement notice must have certain information in it. You need to know what the alleged offence is, including when and where it happened, and what the offence is. The notice must also tell you how much you have to pay, where to send the payment, and how to pay it.

You will also find out how long you have to pay the fee and what happens if you do not pay it or ask for a hearing. The notice must include a summary of what section 21(10) of the Summary Proceedings Act 1957 says. It must remind you that you can ask for a hearing if you want to.

The notice might have other information in it as well, depending on what the regulations say.
