International aviation - Carbon offsetting and reduction scheme for international aviation (CORSIA)

216: Sharing of information between Secretary and ICAO

You could also call this:

"The government shares information with ICAO to help them do their job, while keeping secrets safe."

The Secretary can give information or documents to ICAO if they have them because of their job. You need to know the Secretary only gives this information if it helps ICAO do their job under Annex 16, Vol IV of the Convention. The Secretary gets this information because of their work under this part of the law.

If the Secretary thinks some information should be secret, they must set rules for how ICAO can use it. These rules are about how ICAO can store, use, or show the information, and they must follow Annex 16, Vol IV of the Convention. The rules also say what ICAO can do with copies of the documents they get.

This rule applies even if there are other agreements that say something different.
