463: Further provisions regarding delegation of Director’s functions or powers to persons outside CAA

You could also call this:

"Rules for when the Director gives jobs to people outside the aviation authority"

When the Director gives someone outside the CAA a job to do, it can be given to a specific person, a group of people, or someone with a certain role. You can think of it like a teacher giving a task to a student, a group of students, or the class captain. The Director can give this job for a certain amount of time, but can also take it away at any time by sending a written notice. If someone is doing a job that the Director gave them, they might need to show proof that they are allowed to do it if someone asks them to.

If someone is doing a job that the Director gave them, they can charge a reasonable fee to the person they are doing the job for. The Director follows some rules from the Crown Entities Act 2004 when giving jobs to people outside the CAA, and these rules help the Director make decisions about who to give jobs to and how to manage these jobs. You can find more information about these rules in section 73 and sections 74 to 76 of the Crown Entities Act 2004.
