450: Office of reviewer

You could also call this:

"Who can be an aviation safety reviewer and what they do"

Illustration for Civil Aviation Act 2023

When you are a reviewer, you must have the necessary experience and expertise to do your job. You also need to be able to represent the public interest in aviation safety. This means you should be able to think about what is best for everyone when it comes to staying safe while flying.

If your term as a reviewer is ending, you will keep working until someone new is appointed to take your place, your appointment is renewed, or the Minister decides you do not need to be replaced.

However, if you are an interim reviewer appointed under section 449(4), this rule does not apply to you.
