"The Secretary must tell you in writing about new direction orders"

If the Secretary makes a direction order under section 247, they must give you written notice as soon as possible. This notice tells you the terms and conditions of the direction order, the reasons for it, and any other relevant information. The Secretary decides what extra information is relevant.

The Secretary can also put the notice on their website for everyone to see. They can give notice to other people about the direction order too. You will know what the direction order says and why it was made.
