Civil Aviation Act 2023

Regulations and miscellaneous provisions - Other miscellaneous provisions - Delegations

464: Restrictions on delegations in relation to AvSec

You could also call this:

"Rules for giving AvSec jobs to others"

When the Civil Aviation Authority or the Director want to give someone else a job to do, there are some rules they must follow. They cannot give jobs to people in AvSec that are not related to AvSec's work without the Minister's approval first. They also cannot give AvSec jobs to people outside of AvSec without the Minister's approval first, you need to know that the Minister has to agree in writing. The Civil Aviation Authority and the Director have to follow these rules even if other parts of the Act, such as sections 460 to 463, or the Crown Entities Act 2004 say they can give jobs to others. You can find more information about this in the Act, and it is related to the previous law.
