Civil Aviation Act 2023

Airports - Airport operators

220: Secretary must maintain register of airport operators and airports

You could also call this:

"The government keeps a public list of all airport operators in New Zealand."

The Secretary has to keep a list of airport operators on the Ministry's website. You can find information about each airport operator on this list, including the area they cover, their name, and when they were registered. The list will also show if an operator's registration has been suspended or cancelled.

The Secretary will include other details on the list, such as any special space requirements for the airport operator. They will also note if a regulatory airport spatial undertaking has been accepted under section 243, or if there is any other important information. The Secretary can add any other information they think is useful.

If the Secretary finds out that something on the list is wrong or needs to be updated, they have to make the changes. This could be something like an airport operator changing its name. The Secretary has to keep the list up to date so you can find the correct information about airport operators.
