Airports - Regulatory airport spatial undertakings

241: Giving of regulatory airport spatial undertaking by airport operator

You could also call this:

"Airport operators must promise to meet space rules and tell the government their plan."

If you are an airport operator, this section applies to you when space requirements are in place for your airport or when government agencies tell you they plan to impose space requirements in the future. You must give the Secretary a regulatory airport spatial undertaking that explains how you will meet these space requirements. The Secretary must be satisfied with your plan.

You need to include certain details in your undertaking, such as what space requirements you must meet and which government agencies are involved. Your plan must also outline the projects and milestones you will complete to meet the space requirements, and when you will do them.

When you give the Secretary your undertaking, you must do it in the way the Secretary says you should, and you must follow any rules about what to include, how to present it, and when and how to share it. You must also give the Secretary any information they need to check if your undertaking meets the requirements.
