If you operate an aircraft in a careless manner, you commit an offence. You can be fined if you are found guilty of this offence. The fine can be up to $30,000 if you are an individual, or up to $100,000 if you are not an individual, such as a company, and you can check the Civil Aviation Act 1990 for more information on similar rules. This rule is extra to other regulations or rules that already exist. You should note that other rules and regulations still apply even if you break this rule.
