Civil Aviation Act 2023

Monitoring, investigation, and enforcement - Inspectors and response officers

334: Suspension and ending of appointment of inspectors

You could also call this:

"The boss can stop or end an inspector's job at any time if they're not doing it properly."

Illustration for Civil Aviation Act 2023

The Director can suspend or end an inspector's appointment at any time. You need to know that the Director has this power. The Director makes this decision about the inspector.

If a person is no longer eligible to be an inspector, their appointment as an inspector ends. This happens automatically when they are no longer eligible. The person's appointment ends at this point.

You can compare this to the Civil Aviation Act 1986 for more information. This is found in section 165 of the 1986 Act. It is related to the 2015 No 70 Act.
