You get a curator licence on a specific date. It lasts for a certain time. If you are new to curator licences or had one for less than 2 years, it lasts 1 year. If you had problems with a curator licence in the last 2 years, it also lasts 1 year. You had a curator licence before and it was fine, it lasts 5 years. The licence can end earlier if it is revoked or surrendered. The licence starts on the date specified in the licence.
