Illustration for Arms Bill

If you look at a proposed new law, you will see that the chief executive and the Commissioner must share some information. They will make an agreement about how to do this. You can find this agreement on a website run by the Arms Regulator and on a website run by the Commissioner. The agreement will be published on these websites, along with any changes made to it. This helps you know what is in the agreement. You might not be able to see the whole agreement, though. Some parts might be kept secret under the Official Information Act 1982. If this happens, you can still see a summary of the agreement on the websites. This summary will give you an idea of what the agreement is about. The summary and the agreement will be on the same websites as before. You can check these websites to find out more about the agreement and how it works.
