You could commit an offence if you intentionally make or put together an arms item using parts that were made, brought into the country, or moved around illegally. You could also commit an offence if you agree to make or put together an arms item using these illegal parts. If you do not have a business licence, you could commit an offence if you intentionally make an arms item to sell, give, rent, or supply it to someone else. If you commit this offence, you could go to prison for up to 10 years if you are found guilty. The court will treat any agreement or understanding about making an arms item as a real contract, even if it is not a formal one. This means that if you make a deal with someone to make an arms item, the court will consider it a proper agreement, even if it is not written down or official.
