Illustration for Arms Bill

You could be in trouble if you assemble a restricted firearm without a good reason. You could go to prison for up to 7 years if you do this. You could also be in trouble if you change a standard firearm into a restricted one. If you have a special licence to have a restricted firearm, this rule does not apply to you. You must have a permit to have the specific restricted firearm. This permit must be part of your firearms licence. You must follow these rules to avoid getting in trouble with the law. The law says you need a good reason to assemble a restricted firearm. You need a special licence and permit to have one.
