This page is about a bill. That means that it's not the law yet, but some people want it to be the law. It could change quickly, and some of the information is just a draft.

Arms Bill

Licences and approvals - Obligations of licence holders - Notifications

136: Notification of non-delivery of certain arms items

You could also call this:

"Telling the boss if your gun or weapon doesn't arrive"

Illustration for Arms Bill

If you buy a certain type of firearm or weapon and it does not arrive, you must tell the chief executive as soon as you know it is missing. You need to do this if the item is a standard firearm, pistol, large-capacity pistol magazine, restricted weapon, or restricted item. The chief executive must be notified when you find out the item has not been delivered. If you do not tell the chief executive without a good reason, you can be fined up to $2,000. This is because you would be breaking the proposed rule. You would be liable for this fine if you are found guilty.
