17Defence to prosecution for offence under section 16

  1. It is a defence to a prosecution for an offence under section 16 if the defendant proves—

  2. that the blank-firing gun was in their possession for use under the immediate supervision of the holder of a firearms licence; and
    1. that at all times while they were in possession of the blank-firing gun, they were under the immediate supervision of the holder of a firearms licence.
