This page is about a bill. That means that it's not the law yet, but some people want it to be the law. It could change quickly, and some of the information is just a draft.

The chief executive can cancel an approval given under section 172 at any time. You might ask for your approval to be cancelled, or it might happen if your firearms licence expires or is taken away. The chief executive can also cancel your approval if you do not follow the rules or fix problems after getting a notice under section 181. The chief executive can cancel your approval if they think you no longer meet the requirements or have not followed the conditions of your approval. You need to meet all the requirements and follow the conditions to keep your approval. The chief executive makes the decision to cancel the approval by giving you a written notice. If the chief executive is not happy with how you are selling ammunition, they can cancel your approval. This can happen if you have not done what you were told to do in a notice under section 181. The chief executive can also cancel your approval if they think you are not a suitable person to sell ammunition.
