26Requirements for possession of standard magazine or non-restricted part

  1. A person may possess a standard magazine or non-restricted part if the person—

  2. holds a firearms licence or visitor licence; or
    1. is, at all times while in possession of the standard magazine or non-restricted part, under the immediate supervision of a person who holds a firearms licence.
      1. Subsection (1) does not apply to a large-capacity pistol magazine (see section 27).

      2. Subsection (1) is subject to any other provision of this Act that provides otherwise.

      3. A person commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years, or to a fine not exceeding $10,000, if the person, without reasonable excuse, contravenes this section.
