Illustration for Arms Bill

If you work in a museum and handle arms items, you need a special licence. You can get a firearms licence or a museum worker licence to do your job. The person in charge of the museum, called the curator, also needs a licence. If you have a museum worker licence, you do not need extra permission to handle certain restricted items. These items include restricted firearms, magazines, and parts, as well as pistols and pistol magazines. If you break the rules without a good reason, you can get a fine of up to $10,000.
