You will learn about members appointed by the Minister. These members are paid for their work and can get money back for travel costs. The Minister decides how much they get paid. You need to know when a member's job ends. A member's job ends if the Minister removes them for a reason. A member can also choose to leave their job by writing to the Minister. Being a member does not make you a Crown employee. This means some laws, like the Public Service Act 2020, do not apply to you. Another law, the Government Superannuation Fund Act 1956, also does not apply.
