Illustration for Arms Bill

If you want to sell or supply a restricted firearm or restricted magazine to someone, they must have a firearms licence. This licence must have an endorsement that lets them possess a restricted firearm or restricted magazine. The endorsement must be specific to the restricted firearm or restricted magazine. If you break this rule without a good reason, you can be charged with an offence. You could go to prison for up to 7 years if you are convicted. There may be other parts of this Act that change this rule. You must follow this rule when selling or supplying restricted firearms or restricted magazines. This rule is part of a proposed change to the law. It will apply if the proposed change becomes law.
