Illustration for Arms Bill

If you want to have a pistol, you must have a firearms licence that says you can have a pistol. You also need a special permit to import or possess the pistol. This permit makes the endorsement on your licence specific to that pistol. If you are a business, you can only have a pistol if your senior manager's business licence says you can have a pistol. The business must get the pistol from someone else after the senior manager gets a permit to import or possess the pistol. You need a permit to import or possess the pistol to make the endorsement on the licence specific to that pistol. You can only have a restricted weapon if your firearms licence says you can have a restricted weapon. You need a permit to import or possess the restricted weapon to make the endorsement on the licence specific to that weapon. If you are a business, you can only have a restricted weapon if your senior manager's business licence says you can have a restricted weapon. If you break these rules without a good reason, you can be sent to prison for up to 7 years. These rules can be changed by other parts of the proposed law. You must follow these rules to have a pistol or restricted weapon.
