This page is about a bill. That means that it's not the law yet, but some people want it to be the law. It could change quickly, and some of the information is just a draft.

Illustration for Arms Bill

You might not need to follow some rules if you get a pistol or restricted weapon repaired or modified by a licensed business. If you own the pistol or restricted weapon and a licensed business fixes or modifies it, then gives it back to you, some rules do not apply. You must get it back within 7 days. If a licensed business gets your pistol or restricted weapon to fix or modify it, some rules do not apply. The business must give it back to you within 7 days. When we talk about modifying a pistol or restricted weapon, we also mean permanently deactivating it, which means making it so it cannot be used anymore.
