262Using or attempting to use restricted firearm or pistol to resist or prevent arrest or commit offence

  1. A person commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years if the person makes, or attempts to make, any use whatsoever of any restricted firearm or pistol with intent to resist or prevent the lawful arrest or lawful detention of—

      1. A person commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 7 years if the person, at the time of committing an offence punishable by imprisonment for a term of 3 years or more, possesses a restricted firearm.
