57Persons carrying on business activity must be licensed

  1. A person may carry on a business activity in relation to a class of arms items only if the person is a licensed business.

  2. A person is a licensed business if the person is—

  3. an individual who holds a business licence authorising the individual to carry on 1 or more business activities in relation to 1 or more classes of arms items; or
    1. a body corporate that has a senior manager who holds a business licence authorising the senior manager to carry on 1 or more business activities in relation to 1 or more classes of arms items.
      1. A person commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 1 year, or to a fine not exceeding $15,000, if the person, without reasonable excuse, contravenes this section.
