Building Act 2004

Building - Building work—Project information memoranda and building consents - Building levy

66: Chief executive must review levy

You could also call this:

“The boss must check every few years if the money collected is enough to do their job”

The chief executive must check if the building levy is the right amount. They need to do this soon after three years from when this rule started. After that, they must check it at least every three years. When they check, they need to see if the levy is enough to cover the costs of the chief executive’s job under this law. After checking, the chief executive must tell the Minister what they found out. This helps make sure the levy stays fair and does what it’s supposed to do.
