267ARegistration of product certification body

  1. The chief executive may, on application, and on payment of the prescribed fee (if any), register a person as a product certification body if satisfied that they—

  2. are an accredited PCB; and
    1. meet any prescribed requirements to have adequate means to cover any civil liabilities that may arise in the performance of their functions under this Act; and
      1. meet any other prescribed criteria and standards for registration.
        1. The application must—

        2. be made in writing; and
          1. be made in the prescribed manner (if any); and
            1. include the prescribed information (if any).
              1. As soon as practicable after receiving the application, the chief executive must—

              2. decide whether to register the applicant; and
                1. notify the applicant in writing of the decision (including the reasons, if the application is declined).
