414: Amendments to other enactments
or “This part explains how some other laws are being changed to match the new rules.”

You could also call this:

“This part explains how an old building law is being replaced by a new one, but some rules from the old law will still work for a while.”

The Building Act 1991 is no longer in effect. It has been replaced by a new law.

Even though the old law is gone, some rules from that time are still being used. The Building Regulations 1992 are still in force. You can think of these as a set of instructions that help people follow the law. These instructions can be changed or removed if needed.

There’s also something called the Building Industry Authority Levy Order 1995. This is about money that people in the building industry need to pay. This order is still in effect for now. It can be changed if needed. However, it will only last until a new order is made that sets the rate for the building levy. The building levy is a type of payment related to building work. You can find more information about the building levy in section 53 of the new law.
