272ZI: Offence to misrepresent status
or “It's against the law to pretend you have a special job in building that you don't really have.”

You could also call this:

“You can get in big trouble for saying a building part was made by a special company when it wasn't.”

You must not say a modular component was made by a registered modular component manufacturer (MCM) if it wasn’t. You also can’t claim a modular component is one that section 19(1)(da) applies to if it doesn’t.

If you break this rule, you’re committing a crime. If you’re found guilty, you’ll have to pay a fine. For a single person, the fine can be up to $300,000. For a company or organisation, the fine can be up to $1,500,000.

This law is there to make sure people don’t lie about who made modular components or what kind they are. It helps keep everyone safe and honest when dealing with building parts.
